About this ebook

She's always felt like she's lived between two worlds. He never thought he'd want to share his with her.

As the only child of a cat-shifter and a human, Demi Cross has always lived between two worlds, always feeling alone. As long as she can remember, she’s been warned to hide her identity from those who don’t want her kind to exist.

But hiding is easier said than done. With her unique biology, she has needs unlike any human she knows. Once a month, her body requires a partner in only the most carnal way possible.

And, tonight, she’s on the prowl.

When Saxon Einar spots the naive human in the middle of Club Seduction, his instinct is to protect her.

But he senses something different about Demi, and it’s not just her fierce attitude.

He soon realizes she’s anything but ignorant.

Passion between the two of them ignites, leading to much more than one night. When danger comes for her, Saxon wants nothing more than to keep her safe—and to show her that she’s always had a place where she belongs.

Demi has spent her life suppressing her true nature. She had it all worked out, right down to how to scratch her monthly itch, and it was working. Until him. Saxon was a sentinel for the local cat shifter clan. It was his job to police and protect the supernaturals. A job he took seriously. That sense of responsibility sometimes bled over into other venues of his life. That is how he ended up experiencing one of the most sensuous and erotic nights of his life. The night he tried to warn off a sassy and sexy Demi. This was such a sweet romance with just the perfect touch of humor blended with just the right amount of suspense to create one exciting and entertaining romance. The story line was easy to follow and kept me engaged. There were a few secondary story lines that revolved around the supporting cast that definitely has my curiosity peaked. I am new to this series and am excited to go back and read the first few episodes as well as seeing where the author takes the future cast in this series.

Book number six and I still devoured it in a sitting! As a small fore-note, this book could be read alone, but you'd be missing a good bit. And why would you when the first five were so much fun? I knew Saxon would have to get his comeuppance at some point: him and his love bashing didn't stand a chance! Demi was a perfect counterpoint to his roaming ways because she was his mirror. Takes being forced to get a good long look in a mirror sometimes before you realize where the problem is. Both of our protagonists were love em and leave em types, so when you threw them together and all of a sudden they couldn't NOT come back? Priceless. From both sides. In this book we are introduced to a new faction of the non-humans who violently support pure races and we get a first had view of how far they are willing to go. We meet new people: Siya, Demi's human best friend, Eldon, a cat shifter detective, and some bad guys of course. We also get a lot closer to Kendall, the wolf shifter who moved in with the cats when Isobel moved out, and Ram, the liaison for the vampires in the cat's den. We get a lot more on Kendall than we do on Ram, so don't get too hopeful for his parts. The story has some action, a lot of steamy romance, several cute halflings, and of course the ever present drama of mixed company. Lots of fun. I suggest you start at book one: all of them are fun. I have no idea who the next book will feature as there are several possibilities, but I'm excited for any of them!

This is strong and well written story. Demi and Saxon have immediate chemistry and have great dynamics. This book puts new twists into the series following this new couple. Not only is this Demi and Saxon's story, new couples have been revealed and couples from the previous books still have a big part in the series. This is a wonderful and exciting read. I received an advanced copy and am voluntarily leaving an unbiased, honest review.

Kenderson is two best friends writing under one name.

Renae has always loved reading, and in third grade, she wrote her first poem where she learned she might have a knack for this writing thing. What really spiced up their friendship was when Lara introduced Renae to romance novels. When they discovered their first vampire romance, they knew there would always be a special place in their hearts for paranormal romance. After being unable to find certain storylines and characteristics they wanted to read about in the hundreds of books they consumed, they decided to write their own.

One lives in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area and the other in the Kansas City area where they’re a sonographer/stay-at-home mom/wife and pharmacist/mother by day, and together they’re a sexy author by night.
