Aunt Maddie’s Farm by Genie Gabriel takes the reader on another misadventure. The story encompasses an elf called Aprilita and her a variety of talking farm animals called “wee beasties.” Aprilita is introduced to Karma, who has visions and can talk to “dead people.” Karma wants to see her mother, Elodie, who resides at Romando House, a retirement facility. The misadventures begins for Aprilita and Karma with unexpecting, nefarious events and roadblocks mixed with humor.

About the author

I am the author of 23 published books in a number of genres that incorporate my love of animals and belief in miracles. I live and garden on a small farm in the Pacific Northwest with a menagerie of animals who constantly teach me some of life's most valuable lessons. I write about people who find courage and integrity in the darkest times of their lives, who rescue stray dogs and kittens, who find a person they would willingly give their lives for, and who make their little corners of the world a better place. People have remarked my stories "aren't what they expected." With rose-colored glasses firmly in place, I take that as a compliment. I invite you to share a piece of my world in the pages of a book, and hope you find some surprises, some tears, some laughter, and happy endings.
