About this ebook

From Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author Emma Slate comes the third book in the Saddles & Spurs series.

I swerved off a mountain road into a ditch to avoid a moose.

And then a rugged cowboy in a beast of a truck comes to my rescue.

Brooks Keel.

The quiet loner at Elk Ridge.

The cowboy-biker who looks devastatingly good on a horse and a motorcycle.

Ex-con.

As a jobless twenty-three-year-old virgin, I have no business getting involved with a bad boy.

But between his hard-won smiles and protective streak, my heart—and my body—hunger for him.

We’re in a chrysalis of paradise and Huckleberry Hill is starting to feel like home...

But then the truth about Brooks’ MC past is revealed, and my world explodes.

And now I don’t recognize the man I fell in love with.

I don’t recognize my baby’s father.

Poet finds herself being rescued by Brooks after her car went off the road. The chemistry is off the charts from the start. Brooks past holds him back, never saying much, intense , high walls. It is Poet who starts breaking down his walls . Poet is not weak has a quiet strength. Their love is not straight road, it has bumps and curves but is such a wonderful read. Drama. Chemistry, steam and characters you route for.

Thank you to Emma Slate for giving me the privilege to read this ARC. As with the previous books in the series, this did not disappoint! Poet and Brooks were amazing characters to get to know and love. They have personalities that are relatable and their banter was just brilliant. The found family dynamics are also so beautiful. 4 ⭐ 2 🌶️ Looking forward to the next installment!

Poet thinks she's running from her life, escaping the doldrums of what was once her dream. Brooks is hiding from his past; his dreams more like nightmares. Emma knows how to write a single female POV story that feels complete. We're never in Brooks's head, but there's no denying we feel what he's feeling. The tension between these two was literally page turning, you don't realize it's truly a slow burn until the spice SPICES and suddenly, you see it.
