About this ebook

When a call for help comes from the father of his boss Levy's woman Ice, Harrison answers. A senator has been shot, his wife beaten and the man's kids are in the wind. With a press-conference's-worth of questions needing answers, Harrison has his job cut out for him. Unfortunately, that's not all that's expected of him. The senator's adult daughter is also missing. She's ex-military and apparently has a grudge against the world. She doesn't want to be found, and, even after Harrison locates her, she refuses to have a single blessed thing to do with him. If only he felt the same…

Zoe's on a mission that doesn't leave room in her worldview for heroes, especially a gorgeous badass warrior like Harrison, whom she considers little more than a mercenary for hire. Good thing Harrison has never been the type to take 'no' for an answer because the situation--and their relationship--has all the ingredients of a powder keg requiring one small spark to ignite it. Zoe has angered exactly the wrong people…and they're plotting to put an end to her meddling…and her…permanently.

Harrison's Heart is as exciting and fast paced as all of Dale Mayer's other military romances. While this book is high on action and sweet on romance, it is relatively clean without long detailed bedroom scenes - always a bonus! Harrison and his team mates are gentle giants when it comes to woman although they have no compunction taking out the villains when required. When Harrison finds Zoe, he discovers an angry, mistrustful ex-military woman who has fought for justice and lost the battle, but is continuing with the war. She has made enemies along the way and she and her mother have paid the price. This book kept me on the edge of my seat as Harrison and Zoe look for reasons for the attack on her family, and they discover gruesome answers. The flow of language in this book is good, as is the grammar and spelling. As with all of Dale Mayer's books, this is a worthwhile read. I voluntarily am reviewing an Advanced Reader Copy of this book that I received through Shifted Sheets Book Promotions.

Which each book I read of the Hero's for Hire series, I find myself relating with the young men and women. It is amazing the simiularity between fiction and reality. I thank you for the writings. I have enjoy23rd each and every one.

I love when the female lead (Zoe) is just as badass as the guys. Great book with lots of suspense, twists and turns.

About the author

Dale Mayer is a USA Today bestselling author who writes for the young, the old and those in-between – no matter what the age. Some of her books are hot, some are sweet. Some will keep you up at night with a light on to keep the boogie man away and some you’ll want to cuddle close.

She’s long given up on trying to fit a specific genre. Instead she honors the stories that come to her – and some of them are crazy, break all the rules and cross multiple genres!

And that’s okay too.

There is one guarantee with each book – it will be a great read – each and every time
