Arthurine Rice is a published poet who has been writing poems commencing at a very young age. She has earned and received several accolades for many pieces of works. For example, Arthurine was honored with the Golden Poet and Honorable Mention Awards by World of Poetry during 1989 and during 2001 was recognized with the Directors Award of Merit for Excellence in Songwriting by Paramount Group in Nashville, Tennessee. She has also published with several companies such as Nubian Chronicles and TimBookTu. During October 1, 1996, Arthurine was inducted into the International Poetry Hall of Fame.
