About this ebook

Beatrice Shore is many things. Bitter. Cynical. A mother and grandmother. But most importantly, an investigative journalist. So when her editor sends her to Mellifera, a country town hidden in the mountains, to write a fluff piece on the local farmers market, she is none too happy about it.

However, she soon finds that things are not quite right in Mellifera. From overly animated locals, to bees erupting from livestock, to the near worship the townsfolk seem to have for the enigmatic apiarists. All of which causes Beatrice’s journalistic alarm bells to ring as she begins to suspect she might have finally found her next big story.

Can she expose the sinister secret that lies within Mellifera's honey-drenched walls? Or will her relentless pursuit plunge her into a nightmare from which she may never awaken? For there is a terrifying truth at the heart of this town, one sickly sweet and as sharp as a bee sting.
