About this ebook

The woods held secrets…

…and a headless body.

It’s not the only one.

When the news broke, it was chaos. With the two best detectives on the case, there were sure to be some answers. At least that was the hope. They’re stumped. And people are scared.

DI Lorne Simpkins is getting bad vibes on this one. She can’t shake the feeling that she’s being watched. Are they dealing with a serial killer or are there two murderers on the loose?

Now she and her partner are besieged on all sides by the press, their new boss, and every person they see on the streets.

People want answers.

Nobody is happy with how it’s going…

…especially not the person who sent her the most frightening letter she’s ever read.

You won’t believe the twists and turns in this thriller. Get ready to turn pages until well past your bedtime. This one’s addictive.

Get it now.

This book is awful the lead character is the worst human being I've ever read about. She's a terrible mom wife and detective. I personally don't care to read about cheating ****** who couldn't find their glasses if they were stapled to their face. Also the author used a psychic which really highlights both the detectives ineptitude as well as the authors inability to come up with plausible scenarios. They must love horror books but failed to research the police aspect.

I honestly wish we got a little more background from each character, I was left at the end of the book still wondering why I was supposed to care about these characters. We got more of a back story on the serial killer of the novel than we did on the main characters. Other than that, I liked the story as a whole. It seemed as though the author couldn't figure out whether they wanted to focus on the killing or on the main characters personal life and that got a bit annoying, but overall an okay read.

I found Cruel Justice an entertaining easy novel to read. It had great balance of suspence, humour and down to earth reality about it. I enjoyed the way Comley brought into the novel the every day struggles working moms and unemplyed husbands have in their day to day lives.I also found the little bit of flirting with the handsom French doctor a nice touch. But of cource I love a happy ending. I definitely will be reading more of M.A. Comley's novels.
