Well-written book, very informative! I think Tim Hennis is guilty because of the DNA evidence, inspite of the controversy, but I agree with the author that the fingernail scrapings, blood from the towel, etc. need further analysis. Why wouldn't the Army scrutinize all evidence more carefully? Serious flaws! This book carefully explains a lot about the case, well worth reading.

super repetitive regarding the trials. I feel like more could have been said about the victims or even the criminals past history. it took an extremely long time to read as it was so repetitive. it just needed more context and more information

Scott Whisnant is a former editor and writer for the Morning Star (Wilmington, North Carolina). As a courtroom reporter he covered the case of Tim Hennis, who had previously been convicted of murder and was sentenced to death before the state supreme court awarded him a retrial. Whisnant is the author of Innocent Victims, which details the historic case.
