Ratings and reviews

Logan's great at finding. Stormy's great at hiding. The challenge isn't trying to figure out how to stay hidden or figure out what is hidden. For Stormy, the challenge is learning to trust Logan with her secret and that he will, indeed, keep her safe. For Logan, it's gaining Stormy's trust and proving he's man enough to care, love, and protect her. For as short as a story as this is, Ms. Foster did an admirable job of presenting that challenge. She made the attraction between Logan and Stormy real, made Stormy's hesitation of letting Logan in understandable, made Logan's approach toward her believable. The push and pull for more, the give and take of information, created an environment for love to happen. But it happened almost instantly. That took me aback. I know why though. The books I've read by Ms. Foster are much, much longer. Love doesn't happen overnight or in a matter of days. Love might've happened before for the couple and they're rediscovering it. Or love grows between a couple after spending copious amounts of time together. This is what I'm used to reading from Ms. Foster. I'm used to slow and steady, not quick and ready. That doesn't, however, deter from this story's ability to entertain and engage me. I like the attraction, the lust, the dirty talk. The grittiness of this story is a bit of a surprise but the tender moments between Logan and Stormy are the highlights for me. This is a good opening story for this series. The characters are solid and diverse. Their lives interwoven by friendship and work. One shining aspect is the Wild family's devotion to each other and the ones they love. They work hard, play harder, and love wholeheartedly. That blend is enticing enough for this reader. I hope it's just as alluring for the women coming into the Wild Boys' lives. 3.5* (Received from Tasty Book Tours for an honest review)

I didn't enjoy this book as it is filled with romance, erotica clichès. I don't like Damsel in distress type of books and this book is about that. And I didn't appreciate its pace, things moved too quickly for my liking. From the beginning when Stella was introduced, she was revealing things that made it awkward in the beginning. It was like the author was rushing to get at the top of the mountain. I didn't also enjoy the characterisation, the backstories of each character weren't given properly, all I got was the history of Logan and how he avenged his parents. Again, I didn't like how Logan was so protective of a person he barely knew just like that. That wasn't fitting for a playboy the author was trying to paint him to be be. Besides that, the sex scenes were crafted so well that you will surely enjoy them for sure.

The 2 main characters getting together right away and falling in love within days...I don't know. The story ended with a quick resolution. I really thought that there was going to be a confrontation between them and the bag guy, but everything was tied up neatly at the end. There's great potential to this story plot-wise... but the sexy parts were great!
