About this ebook

Taken from her beloved family and woods, Aria’s biggest fear isn’t death... it’s becoming a blood slave for a member of the vampire race.

No matter her fate, she must keep her identity hidden from the monsters imprisoning her. She’s already branded a member of the rebellion, but the vampires can never learn the truth of her involvement.

Hoping for death, Aria’s world turns upside down when Braith steps forward to claim her. The powerful vampire delays her execution, but it’s only a matter of time before he destroys her.

Aria’s determination to hate Braith only increases when she learns he’s a member of the royal family responsible for reducing humans to nothing more than servants and slaves. However, his strange kindness and unexpected gentleness slowly make her realize he’s more than just a monster.

Torn between her loyalties to the rebellion, and a growing love for her greatest enemy, Aria must decide between everything she’s ever known and a love she never dreamed of finding.

Female lead was wholly insufferable. Empty indignation towards the human servants at first due to them abandoning their people and being traitors, and she goes and does the same and worse. I get it, it's a romance book, but she came off as vapid and spineless when she gives up her supposed principles and values immediately without even some semblance of trying to escape or any effort towards her compatriots' and "her supposed" cause, except for empty posturing. Maybe it would have been better if the readers did not have access to her inner dialogue. Considering the circumstances, at best she comes off like a thoughtless weakling.

I normally don't buy books unless it's paper back and it's one I know of honestly, but I've been completely and utterly entranced by this entire serious and I am beyond exstatic I decided to break and buy the second book after reading the first one for free; granted I've only just finished the fourth book and still have four more to go. Erica Stevens is a literal genius and deserves all the recognition and sales possible! Most of the time in a series the books just become stale and unexciting after the third book, but you are in for a ride with every single one of the books in this series! Grab some snack and be prepared to be enthralled and captured in this amazing series! I seriously read all four books so far in five days! Erica Stevens, you will definitely be getting a lot more of my money haha, and you have more than earned it!

Kind of like Twilight. With the whole girl meets vampire except girl despises vampires but slowly falls in love with one vampire. It was a GREAT read!
