«Привидение в Инженерном замке» - произведение русского писателя Н. С. Лескова (1831 – 1895).*** Рассказ впервые был опубликован в издании «Новости и Биржевая газета» в 1882 году. Подзаголовок «Из кадетских воспоминаний». С измененным заглавием вошел в сборник «Святочные рассказы» (1886). Инженерный Михайловский замок был выстроен по проекту В. И. Баженова архитектором В. Ф. Бренна для Павла I. Здесь император был убит в ночь с 11 на 12 марта 1801 года. Перу Лескова принадлежат и такие произведения: «Пустоплясы», «Путешествие с нигилистом», «Разбойник», «Райский змей», «Ракушанский меламед».
