ARC for honest review with no compensation Her Selfless Warrior is book 1 in the Omega Sky series by Caitlyn O’Leary and what a great start to this series! We met Kostrya and Lark before in Her Righteous Protector and now it’s time for their story. From him as a young child in Russia and all he goes through to get to America, becoming a Navy Seal, rescuing those in need and the connection that started in Afghanistan…

This skillfully crafted book grabs you right from the prologue and then proceeds to steal your breath, send your emotions spinning, raise your temperature and pulse rate and have you perched on the edge of your seat. Trust me when I tell you that Kostya, Lark and this story will have you experiencing a full array of emotions. I thought Lark and Kostya were both amazing characters. Their complexities & chemistry made them very lovable and easy to root for. Together, they make a formidable couple that should inspire stark fear in the bad guy's hearts but plenty of feels and swoons for us lucky readers. This is my volitional, objective review.

I was all in, couldn't stop reading. Right from the prologue, which gutted me btw. So realistic, I won't forget Kostya's early years journey for a very long time. Modern day Kostya, well, let's just say I want one of him, exactly like him. He overcame so much, and is a born protector, with the patience of a saint. He has to have that patience, he's the Lieutenant of Omega Sky, need I say more? Nah. There's a hairy mission expedited as well, and, where else, but Russia. Yes, irony here. So, now I get to Lark, lucky woman that she is, she's captured Kostya's interest (his heart really). She's also super independent, rather fearless, and has no need of Kostya’s protective instincts. Or so she thinks, until she does. Great meshing of all characters, well-oiled teammanship, serious drama. Their dialog had me going from sweating bullets to LMAO'ing, in 60 seconds or less. Their heat was dynamic and earthy, yet so beautiful and ethereal. There may have even been funny bits--all the better!
