I read E.L. Todd’s Forever and Always series and knew that I found another great author. That is why I was excited to read Ray of Light. This story was different, and in a good way. I enjoyed reading about Rae and her personality. She is not the type to beg for love, and when she gave Ryker a run for his money I was shouting “You go girl!” I have read endless books where the heroine falls for a guy to easy. The guy is either with it, or pushes it to the side. Ryker had no idea what he was up against with Rae. Ray of Light was another story that I needed in my book world. I laughed so hard at times, I think my husband thought I was crazy a time or two. You have to get this book! The rest of the characters were great too. Rae has her friends and her brother Rex for her support system. They complete her and only make her stronger. Speaking of Rex, I know there has to be a story soon with him and Kayden. I wanted to smack him in the head to open his eyes and see what was in front of him. With that being said, I was invested in these characters and what they were thinking. Rae and Ryker are sexy and very good for each other. But I have this feeling that there is a little bit of dark that Ryker is hiding from his past. I guess we will have to wait and see in book 2! Ray of Light has a great storyline, and I know there is so much more to come. I stayed with the story all the way through the end. I literally can not wait for the next part of this story! I am not ready to let this one go, just like Ryker has a hard time letting Rae go❤ Found me a new sexy book boyfriend!

Ray of Light by E.L. Todd is the first book in her re-vamped Ray Series. This book is a slow burn, romantic tale of two people who meet-cute in the park with a runaway dog and wind up not only sharing the same social circle but they also now work together. It is also a tale of family and friendship and the trials and tribulations associated with both. This story continues in the next book, Ray of Hope. Rae and Rex are the siblings in the story. They love to hate on each other but will defend the other against outsiders every time. Zeke is the best friend of Rex and another brother-like figure to Rae. Zeke doesn't feel like she is his sister though. Far from it. Jessie and Kayden are Rae's two rambunctious best friends and all five of them get along wonderfully together. Friends and family are so very important to Rae. When Ryker enters the picture, Rae doesn't realize that the hot guy her dog abandoned her for at the park is a friend of her brother and Zeke. Despite their mutual attraction things are complicated with him being a friend of her brothers AND a notorious playboy. Will Rae continue to be attracted to the bad boy bed hopper or will she realize that Zeke is the one for her?

It's the first book in the Ray Series. I devoured this book in one sitting. Rae and Rex, who are brother and sister, are the the main characters and it is told in each of their POV'S. They have a small group of friends that the story centers around. Rae begins a relationship with Ryker. Rex is having financial. Zeke is secretly in love with Rae. Kayden is secretly in love with Rex. I laughed to the very end. I can't wait for the next book.
