About this ebook

From Jason Pargin, the New York Times bestselling author of the cult sensation John Dies at the End, comes another terrifying and hilarious tale of almost Armageddon at the hands of two hopeless heroes.

Warning: You may have a huge, invisible spider living in your skull. THIS IS NOT A METAPHOR.

You will dismiss this as ridiculous fear-mongering. Dismissing things as ridiculous fear-mongering is, in fact, the first symptom of parasitic spider infection--the creature stimulates skepticism, in order to prevent you from seeking a cure. That's just as well, since the "cure" involves learning what a chainsaw tastes like. You can't feel the spider, because it controls your nerve endings. You won't even feel it when it breeds. And it will breed.

Just stay calm, and remember that telling you about the spider situation is not the same as having caused it. I'm just the messenger. Even if I did sort of cause it. Either way, I won't hold it against you if you're upset. I know that's just the spider talking.

"Like an episode of AMC's The Walking Dead written by Douglas Adams of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy...Imagine a mentally ill narrator describing the zombie apocalypse while drunk, and the end result is unlike any other book of the genre. Seriously, dude, touch it and read it." –Washington Post

"Kevin Smith's Clerks meets H.P. Lovecraft in this exceptional thriller... [Jason Pargin] is a fantastic author with a supernatural talent for humor. If you want a poignant, laugh-out-loud funny, disturbing, ridiculous, self-aware, socially relevant horror novel than This Book is Full of Spiders: Seriously Dude, Don't Touch It is the one and only book for you." –SF Signal

To me, this series is like Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. you are forced to pay attention lest you miss the one word that makes it all make sense, the first time thru. Opening book 2 was sitting in your favorite old Dinner, and sighing softly as you can smell the same person has made the same coffee here for the entire life of the Shoppe. Truth is, first person walked in and smelled some highbrow new brand would turn around and walk out. And in the strange way the Universe swirls, without one call, or for that matter, without one other customer even peeping in: at 6:59- same time as for 35 years, the front door sign was flipped over for the last time. The magic of books though, is the coffee never burns or gets cold, and that last slice of cherry pie or bowl of rice pudding with cardamom is always warm and waiting. Okay, the difference between these books and the movie is you had to actually think with the movie. I should have just written: no Tolkien, or Steven King. Very reminiscent of 'Shawn of the Dead'.. But when was that any damn fun?

In all honesty, I gave up reading books a long time ago. It was hard to get into any book, I'd get bored and stop reading it. This book as well as John Dies at the End, I couldn't put down. I finished them in about 2 days each. Great reads and perfectly fit my sense of humor. I reccomend these books to everybody.

The only thing that disappointed me about this book (as a sequel to John Dies at the End) is it took itself way too seriously. The first book made your jaw drop by throwing zany sci-fi science and mind-bending supernatural horror right into your face, and while this book was much easier to read in terms of plot, it just didn't catch me off guard like the first one. BUT don't get me wrong. This is still one of my favourites, and I highly recommend this AFTER John Dies Etc. You just won't get it otherwise.
