Seine Kolumne zur Erziehung von Teenagern war 1995 so populär, dass sie als Buch veröffentlicht wurde, das als Vorlage für die TV-Serie »Meine wilden Töchter« diente. Mit seinem Roman Ich gehöre zu dir landete er 2010 einen Bestseller. Die Reihe um den Hund Bailey wurde erfolgreich fortgesetzt und verfilmt.
