Ratings and reviews

I am a Christ-follower, and knowing that, I could not rate this book at 5 stars. Off-color language, and visually descriptive sex scenes made me cringe. I intuitively understand this writer's reasons for writing it this way - it brings the reader right into the deep South, with its traditions, hospitality, and perfect landscape descriptions - I feel as if I've been down there. This is a solid story, alternating perspectives from one character to the other. A page turner, for sure!

From the moment I read chapter one I could predict what the main moral is. Although the first chapter was more about finding out that the main character had done something terribly wrong it, didn't give any clues or hints on what she done until the very last chapter , which explained everything in two pages. The majority of chapters were about how she gained love.

The story was good, well written just not believable with the ages the main characters were. Hence the three stars.
