Rule: Never reveal yourself to a human.

I swear I didn't break this rule. I had my glamour in place. I saved the guy's life, just as I was assigned to do. And then he looked at me. Looked at me.

Rule: Never bring a human into the fae realm.

Technically, this wasn't my fault either. He followed me. But the Guild doesn't see it that way. Assignment status? Failed.

I'm months away from graduating top of my class, and now Nate has ruined everything. If I can get him back home without killing him, maybe I can salvage my guardian future.

Except ... there's way more going on here than I suspected. Someone else is after Nate. Someone intent on unearthing long-forgotten secrets and immense power.

Next thing I know, we're tangled up in a plot more dangerous than anything I've had to fight my way out of before.

Bonus complication? I think I'm falling for Nate ...

well..! about the book.. there's no doubt that it was an amazing book! but it was lacking something unknown. the author suddenly changes the aim of the story somewhere in middle, but it was quite captivating. u won't feel bored of reading the story as it contains twists at correct points which makes u anxious to read the rest of the story. its worth giving a reading! i will be continuing the series as i want to know what actually happens!

One glaring spello: barbeque - barbecue, please, no matter which version of English one uses. For a pair of uninformed/clueless 17 year olds they were pretty clued up in hands-on flirting. Apart from the above and a very few other minor points, the story wasn't bad.

Interesting world and intriguing characters with a plot that started slowly. The end was a bit abrupt with very little resolution. Not sure I should invest in book 2...
