This is a book every boiler operator and repair maint. person should read to get an idea where we came from and how somethings have not changed in this line of work. This book shows many old school ways of doing things that can give you an understading of what the modern junk now is trying to do and how it was designed to work. History is only part of the learning that can be obtained in this book. Don't discount its age for being useless. There is a lot of very useful information in this book.
