An interesting account of the Queens attempt to return control of Hawaii to its indigenous people. As told by the White interlopers...As i read this, i noted the many times it refferred to the Queens attempt to usurp and violate the rights and property of the "people". Which i found confusing. In the end, i realised that the "people" in question were not the indigenous Hawaiian people, hardly any mention is made of them, but the "WHITE and ASIAN people who now owned 90% of the Hawaiian land and wealth. It was the rights of THESE people that they sought to protect. The Queen sought to overthrow the constitution written for and by white people. And institute a new constitution stripping them of their property right and power. The previous Kings had sold out their own people to the white man...and they werent gonna let them take it back.

Love that this book is free for the entire world to read the truth I presume is written here, of our beloved queen and rich history.
