“Day one and she’s already proven to be a naughty pet.” I’ll be honest, during the first ten chapters I was really worried I was going to be unable to ever warm to the hero. Lorenzo was odd, violent, dark and seemingly crazy. Even the brief flickers of emotion he began to experience weren’t enough to soften him. Several times he scared me as much as Amelia. Then things began to change. He began to change. It was incredible. I slowly began to warm to him the same time Amelia did. As she began to care for him and then fall in love, so, too, did I. By the end I was completely head over heels! He’s definitely a solid top five of my all time favorite bbfs. I’m totally devoted from now on. The story along with the actions and emotions were unbelievable. There’s just so much going on and so very unpredictable. I laughed a few times, cried more than once, worried myself sick and held my breath in anticipation and hope until the very end. What a roller coaster!

Another fantastic story from one of my favourite authors, Nicole Cypher. As enemies to lovers goes, this has plenty of twists and turns. Deliciously dark and dangerous. Wonderfully written characters, and a well constructed story. Would recommend. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I enjoyed this enemy to lover mafia book. It had a interesting but different storyline which draw me in. I wasn't sure at first and I did take a while to warm up to Lorenzo, but I'm glad I finished it.
