About the author

Previously, as an Advanced Skills Teacher, Anne was employed by Buckinghamshire School Improvement Service to work as a Key Stage 4 consultant. Aided by a long career in secondary education, and having undertaken roles within both pastoral and departmental management, she has worked with teachers on a wide range of teaching and learning issues specific to her subject area and more generally. She has been involved in school based action research and evaluation projects as participant researcher and as a consultant, and has an ongoing personal research interest in student empowerment within the secondary mathematics classroom.
