This book is a compilation of eleven articles by the author, who took to writing well after he retired from an active professional life. I discovered him on Facebook one lazy afternoon, while exploring the creativity of several unknown personalities blessed with the gift of creating magic with words. I was so impressed by the wide spectrum of subjects he covered and his style of writing, I became an ardent fan within a short spell. I also discovered, to my pleasant surprise, that he, Sri Ramkrishna Bhattacharya, is not really "unknown"; he is quite a celebrity in the net world. Now that he has stepped into the conventional world of print, I would appeal to all serious book lovers to collect a copy of "Chapor Ghonto" and scan through its pages. The 96-page book is packed with a wide range of information described in a very eloquent style. Members of the young generation will benefit immensely and enrich themselves with our heritage and tradition. I have no intention of reviewing each and every article. Rather, I would leave it to the potential readers to explore each page and discover the treasure, which the author so brilliantly presented. Just to kindle the curiosity of a would be reader, I would indicate the subjects covered; - Tagore's family history, injustice meted out to Dr. Shaidullah, Sayiad Mujtaba Ali, Dadathakur, Nalanda etc etc. So please just grab the book and explore the wonderland. You will not regret I assure you. The publisher SristiSukh has also done an excellent job of the quality of print and overall layout.
