About the author

 John DeMarco M.Ed., LPC, is a private practice psychotherapist in northern New Jersey and specializes in anger therapy and relationships. In addition to doing anger therapy he does marriage counseling and helps parents who have children with behavior problems. Prior to that he was a public school mental health and substance abuse counselor and worked with disaffected and angry students. That experience led him to develop an interest in anger therapy. In the past fourteen years he has helped hundreds of adults who struggle with anger problems. During that time he developed a new and innovative treatment for anger, which focuses on desensitizing it. He is a Hazelden author of five other books. His most recent Hazelden book is Adolescent Group Facilitator’s Guide: Dynamic Discussion Starters.
