From partway through the first half of the first chapter, I was tensed up. Something was wrong and I couldn't stop the fear. The injured dog, Raider, took my heart right away and obviously was totally taken with injured Josh. I was close to tears reading about Raider & Josh. That wasn't the only part of the story to have me on the edge of my seat. I can't say more without giving away the story, you really need to read this book! I was gifted an ARC, I'm voluntarily sharing my honest opinion.

Federal employee Katie, on furlough bcoz of governmental budget issues; Josh, as a result of an Army related injury, meet in Honeysuckle as guests of the Sweets. Pulled together further in their attempts to rehabilitate an injured canine, Josh and Katie form a solid friendship. My only criticism, again, is the story ended too soon.
