Not what I expected. Too many sex scenes to soon. Demon king was ALOT better and is my favorite by this author. This one needed more body before the sex came into play making it hard for me to follow mid way through. After a while, I started skipping the sex scenes to try to get more of an environmental picture in my head. Something was missing. Seemed that the writer got too excited about the plot and wrote too fast, then the editors read too fast and published it too soon.

Loved this book. The dragon shifter is honest and noble. His english is not fluent so he tends to sound like an oaf at times, but his personality and character are unique, and you realize he is far from it. I am one of those people that look at the cover of a book and assume that what you see is what you get. The man does not have any tattoos. However he has blue hair, wears blue leather pants and stands over 6' 7". Wow!

Taken By A Dragon is book 7 in the Eternal Mates series, and yes it lives up to it's predecessors! Though it is not absolutely necessary to read the previous books to get enjoyment out of this book, you'll be left scratching your head on a few points and will not have a good grasp of some of the supporting characters if you don't. And why wouldn't you? The previous books are awesome too. Loke (a dragon who resides in Hell) and Anais (an Archangel hunter) are the main players in this installment. Loke snatched Anais from the battlefield during the big battle in Hell between the demon realms. I was very excited to finally get to their story and wasn't disappointed with the outcome. They are a great couple. I would put Loke on par with Thorne for just being a darned sweetheart. Some of our heros are the brooding, dark and mysterious types (some the playful, dark and mysterious types) but these two really are just too adorable for words. What's the word people use? Marshmallow. That's it. Don't get me wrong, he's definitely a fighter and a breathtaking beast on top of it, but his heart is just fluffy mush that I want to cuddle. Anais was one tough cookie, but not such a harda** as to be cold. They clicked quickly and that was a nice change of pace. I believe this book might be the steamiest yet. Lots of little hints at the coming books as well. Definitely looking forward to more, most specifically Bleu and his dragon's book. :D If you like action, adventure, steamy scenes with passion and compassion, lead characters with pasts, LOTS of paranormal creatures, and of course dragons, this is a book you shouldn't pass up.
