Tonya “T1DCHAMPION” McBride
I liked the book. I was impressed with how eloquently he expressed himself. It's amazing how much he overcame..how much he endured to educate himself. Make a life for himself even develop s faith that's so strong. I wish that the book had been more open. I want to know if he found love and had a family.. but it was great to see life through his eyes.

Even though this book was written long ago, I find it fascinating that he was able to remember and when he grew up he was determined to tell his story, word for word and fact for fact. Olaudah Equiano did not sugar coated his story nor does it have the everything was happily ever after spin. I am elated to read and collect a true uncut piece of history rather than the lies that claim to be History today.

An interesting & informative account. However, I hope that other readers are aware that secondary sources are considered to be more reliable than primary. They can examine a greater range of evidence and are less poisoned. For example, Hitler's account of Jewish involvement in WW 1, would be far from truthful even though he was a soldier at this time.
