About this ebook

Lost magic. Fading hope. A dying race.

Trapped in our world, the fae are dying from drugs, contaminants, and hopelessness. Kicked out of the dark fae court for tainting his body and magic, Riasg only wants one thing: to die a bit faster. It’s already the end of his world, after all.

But while scoring his last hit, he discovers something that shouldn’t exist. Not anymore. And he can’t ignore it as much as he wants to. But to save what might just be the last hope for his kind, he might first have to save himself. And that is a lot to ask…

Especially when the Dark Queen’s Huntress tracks him down. Riasg knows the Queen of the Dark Fae will do anything to possess the last hope for their kind that he hides, but how can he resist her Huntress when she offers him the one thing he craves more than even hope?

Has he found a companion he can trust at the end of the world, or is this just another of the Dark Queen’s tricks?

Dark Fae Outcast is book 1 of the Tainted Fae, a dark tale of the end times – not ours. Theirs. Enter an urban fantasy world of darkness, slow death, lost magic, and maybe, just maybe, a bit of hope. Pick up Dark Fae Outcast today!

Autumn Birt has created a wonderfully dark and modern fairytale for adults. It takes you on a vivid journey with a Fae-drug-addict, Riasg, as he tries to save an ancient Fae from his own Dark Queen. I love to see fantasy mixing with reality, and Autumn has brought old-world creatures into our modern society with a very real sting. The idea that everything humans have done to the world is destroying the magic that once was is an enticing and frightening idea. Listening to the plight of these characters makes me feel worse about the damage we are doing to the earth, and yes, I know fairies aren’t real, but you can’t help but empathize with these creatures. The only complaint I have is because this is a novella, it’s short, and I was left with this want for so much more. Luckily, I understand there is more to come. I would highly recommend this read for fantasy and fairy-tale fans! Can’t wait for the sequel!

Another wonderful book by Autumn Birt. This time however we stay right where we are on planet Earth and learn about a secret race known as Fae. Even if you THINK you know all there is to know about this race, you can add some new things to that vast knowledge. We finally learn what has happened to magic in our world as we follow a lovable cast of characters that will make you fully believe as every good fantasy book should. I enjoyed this book so much that I've been prodding people to go read it when it finally is released. TODAY IS THAT DAY! Autumn Birt is a fantastic writer and I have always enjoyed her books. This one has me really interested in the journey these characters are taking and I am eagerly waiting for the next book! It is these types of things that make me more than happy to be a advanced reader for her books.
