STONEFIRE DRAGONS #8

Dr. Cassidy “Sid” Jackson’s inner dragon went silent over twenty years ago. Ever since, she’s battled episodes that have tested her sanity. Aware she doesn’t have much time left, she prepares for a new doctor to come to Stonefire and take her place. However, before the new doctor arrives, Sid is attacked.

Dr. Gregor Innes lost his mate and son in childbirth over a decade ago and dedicates his life to ensuring his clan remains healthy. His dedication was renewed after meeting a certain dragonwoman doctor a few months ago. There is no way he will take another mate and risk her life. He’s determined to keep his distance.

When Stonefire asks for assistance, Gregor has no choice but to see the female his dragon wants. Attraction builds, but Gregor and Sid both hold back. Will they find a way to overcome their obstacles to be together? Or will forces tear them apart?

I think this is my favorite story yet of Jessie Donovan's dragons. Of course, I feel that way after everyone. Dr. Sid, or Cassidy Jackson, helps hold the clan together. Even the clan leader, Bram, says so. That's all despite the pressure of being the only doctor during the dangerous times and many enemies the clans are fighting. Not to mention, she is a dragonwoman with no dragon. When Cassidy collapses, Doctor Gregor Innes is called from the Scottish Clan to figure out why and help her. The dragonman is attracted to her and respects her. Keeping his feelings under control isn't easy, however, his past reminds him why there is no future with Cassidy. Ms. Donovan gifts her readers with characters we love and who keep us glued to the story until we know they have resolved the always serious conflicts in their lives. She provides love stories with steam, dragon shifters are randy creatures, loyal, powerful, and with enough special attributes to makes us all want to be friends with them. Cured by the Dragon is no exception, rather a wonderful example of the best of her writings. Cassidy and Gregor both want happiness. Can they fight through the reasons they don't believe it is possible? How about dragon input? Will it help or hinder their relationship? Their journey will provide a surprise she could only hope for but never believe would happen. They become a great medical team, will they team up for more? I recommend this book to Donovan fans, new readers, shifter fans, and romantics. I was provided an ARC for an honest review.

Missing Dragon and growing attraction When Dr. Cassidy “Sid” Jackson gets hurt by a Flying drone, Dr. Gregor Innes of Clan Lochguard is called in to help out. Not only to check out Dr. Sid but to help with other patients of Clan Stonefire. The injury doesn’t help the fact that Dr. Sid has already been having headaches and has been missing her dragon for years. But the pounding in her head gets worst when Dr. Innes is around. Both Sid and Innes are reluctant to do anything about the growing attraction to each other, both for their own reasons. This is an awesome addition to the series of self-contained stories in the series. Well written and very entertaining to read.
