A thriller for people who support women's wrongs (as well as their rights), Mad Broke Cold brings a nightmare scenario to vivid, visceral life. Meghan O'Flynn maintains tight control over plot threads and details so that the reader can simply trust that the picture will come clear in time. In the meanwhile, readers can feel the characters' emotions as they race through pages to find out how the story plays out. A satisfying read, made more authentic by the author's experience and expertise.

This excellent storyline has drama, danger, psychological twists, suspense, good secondary characters, and great world-building. The main characters are defined, intelligent, and suspicious. This thriller is entertaining, engaging, and enjoyable. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.

If you've read any of Meghan O'Flynn's previous works, you know to expect shocking twists. Mad, Broke, Cold takes it to a whole new level. I'm trying to avoid spoilers, but let's just say the characters can't trust their own minds and you may or may not want to trust the narrator.
