As seekers of hope and opportunity draw closer, they find that the source of promise is overshadowed by wickedness. Pinckney directs through historical events, highlighting the pervasive culture of lies, distrust, and dishonesty that has plagued America.
This is more than a partisan attack or finger-pointing, it's a call for honesty and accountability. In a time when lies dominate headlines and power often shields deceit, Pinckney's neutral stance challenges us to recognize lies for what they are, irrespective of their source.
Join us on a historical journey through the United States, exploring how lies have shaped our nation, and affected individuals, families, and institutions. "A Nation of Liars" prompts us to question our perceptions and confront the uncomfortable truths that lie beneath the surface of American society.
Jerome “Jerry” Pinckney was born in Savannah, Georgia, in humble surroundings. He grew up in a modest middle-income family during that time. His father was an Army Captain, and the family soon moved north to New York City, which was a complete culture shock for him due to his Southern upbringing.
As a child, he always had an entrepreneurial spirit. Around the age of 14, he was selling bags of boiled and parched peanuts along with pecans, shining shoes at local barbershops, creating and selling Mother’s Day roses, running a sidewalk candy stand, making palms for Palm Sunday, selling garden seeds, and delivering newspapers.
He graduated from Morris High School in the Bronx, NY, and then completed a 5-year electrical apprenticeship in New York. His accomplishments include earning a Brown Belt with 3 Black Stripes in GojuKai Karate in New York, studying at the Cornish School of Allied Arts Music in Seattle, and pursuing music composition at Eastern Washington University in Cheney, WA. He also worked as a banker representative for two major commercial banks in Seattle, served as an IRS revenue officer, and ran a sportswear clothing store as a sole proprietor. Additionally, he became a licensed real estate agent in Atlanta.
Jerome’s diverse background includes being an A-Journeyman Electrician (Local #3), a commercial bank representative, an IRS revenue officer, a licensed real estate agent-investor, and the sole proprietor of a sportswear clothing store. He believes that filtering through these careers, along with several opportunities for international travels to interact with other cultures, significantly groomed him toward the knowledge and preparation needed to write this book.
