About this ebook

James Patterson returns to the genre that made him famous with a #1 New York Times bestselling teen detective novel about the mysterious Angel family . . . and the dark secrets they're keeping from one another.
On the night Malcolm and Maud Angel are murdered, Tandy Angel knows just three things: 1) She was the last person to see her parents alive. 2) The police have no suspects besides Tandy and her three siblings. 3) She can't trust anyone-maybe not even herself.
As Tandy sets out to clear the family name, she begins to recall flashes of experiences long buried in her vulnerable psyche. These memories shed light on her family's dark secrets, and digging deeper into her powerful parents' affairs proves to be a disturbing and dangerous game. Who knows what any of the Angels are truly capable of?

James Patterson has been one of my favorite writes since i first started his 'Maximum Ride' series over 4 years ago in middle school. I can never seem to bore of his books, and this is no exception. The characters are well thought out, and it has a great plot. But i have to admit, that to me the story does have a few moment where i felt he was just filling space with unneeded chapters. Overall, im not dissapointed with this book at all and would recommend to anyone looking for a good read.

This was the last book I read of 2012, and I can tell you it was a good way to close off a year. The whole book takes place from young Tandy's point of view, a teenage girl whose parents stress perfection on the whole family, which includes three brothers and herself. Tandy treats the reader as a new friend from the start, holding back information until she can trust you more, but obviously she trust the reader more than the cops investigating the murder of her parents. Through the story, Tandy's accusations go from one family member to the next, even believing she could have done it herself, an then jumping on to several associates of her parents and the family. The way Tandy tells her story makes you feel for her, and want to know more and solve this mystery yourself. And when all is said and done, I was just as shocked and thrown back as Tandy. You feel the narrator's emotion, because Patterson wants you to feel what Tandy feels, he wants you to want this as she does. If you enjoy mysteries in any form of the word, or realistic fiction, you need to pick this up now. Stop reading this review and go get it!

It held my attention and the suspects kept changing. My mouth dropped when I found out what happened that night. Very suspenseful. I definitely recommend this book. Can't wait to read the second one.
