About this ebook

From New York Times bestselling author Jill Shalvis comes her first women's fiction novel—an unforgettable story of friendship, love, family, and sisterhood—perfect for fans of Colleen Hoover, Susan Mallery, and Kristan Higgins.

They say life can change in an instant…

After losing her sister in a devastating car accident, chef Quinn Weller is finally getting her life back on track. She appears to have it all: a loving family, a dream job in one of L.A.'s hottest eateries, and a gorgeous boyfriend dying to slip an engagement ring on her finger. So why does she feel so empty, like she's looking for a missing piece she can't find?

The answer comes when a lawyer tracks down Quinn and reveals a bombshell secret and a mysterious inheritance that only she can claim. This shocking revelation washes over Quinn like a tidal wave. Her whole life has been a lie.

On impulse, Quinn gives up her job, home, and boyfriend. She heads up the coast to the small hometown of Wildstone, California, which is just a few hours north, but feels worlds apart from Los Angeles. Though she doesn't quite fit in right away, she can't help but be drawn to the town’s simple pleasures…and the handsome, dark-haired stranger who offers friendship with no questions asked.

As Quinn settles into Wildstone, she discovers there's another surprise in store for her. The inheritance isn't a house or money, but rather something earthshattering, something that will make her question everything she thought she knew about herself, about her family. Now with a world of possibilities opening up to Quinn, she must decide if this new life is the one she was always meant to have—and the one that could finally give her the fulfillment she's searched so long for.

Since the death of her sister two years ago, Quinn Weller has been sleepwalking through life; she is ensconced in her routine, she is not living anymore. One day, while waiting in line for her usual coffee, a lawyer comes up to her and announces that she has inherited properties, among other things. She will have to leave LA for the small ranch town of Wildstone, California, to see to it. If that was a shock for Quinn, it was nothing compared to all the secrets that were kept from her all her life. Mick Hennessey is also in Wildstone for a little while, and he is the one who finds Quinn as she is driving into town in full panic attack. LOST AND FOUND SISTERS is Jill Shalvis’ first foray into women’s fiction, and I must admit that I haven’t read many books in that genre. And this is a book that is hard to review without giving away any spoilers, of which there are many. Fans of Ms. Shalvis need not worry too much as the author’s effortless writing, biting wit, a slightly accident-prone heroine, and bugs are components of the story, as well as a yummy hero and a sweet old dog and a quirky stray cat. On the other hand, while it did not matter to me in the least, the hotness side has been toned down to PG, as there are no particularly explicit sex scenes, which greatly surprised me. While the focus is, of course on Quinn’s and Mick’s romance, there is more emphasis on secondary characters, more depth to the story, and more conflicts, that are quite a departure from what is usually found in Ms. Shalvis’ book, there is also a certain sadness that defines Quinn, that the author conveys exceptionally well. I was a bit taken aback, as I’m used to the light, fun, and bubbly tone of Ms. Shalvis’ books, and while this is a very good, solid story, I missed the carefree and playful atmosphere that I find in Jill Shalvis’ stories. The romance was very convincing, as it was definitely based on more than physical attraction, and Mick was a lovely hero. LOST AND FOUND SISTERS is the first book in the new Wildstone series, and while usually it’s obvious whose book is to be expected next, I must admit that I am really not sure what to expect next; Lena with or without Boomer perhaps? I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

I just LOVED this book. I gobbled it right up. I know picking up a Jill Shalvis book I will be sucked right in and enjoy every minute of it. I have to say while reading this book you definitely get Shalvis' voice. If you gave me this book without telling me who wrote it I would know right away. I just loved all the characters in this book. I liked the secondary story going on as well. Quinn has to be one of my favorite heroines. She doesn't realize it, but she has so much strength and heart. It shows at everything she does. When her life implodes with a bombshell her actions after show her inner strength and heart. She just has to get to the point she sees it too. Mick may be just the man to show her. Mick is total swoon worthy material. He has a ton of heart as well. They way him and Coop are there for Quinn would win anyone over. It's not going to be sooth sailing for these two. It delivered on everything I look for in a Jill Shalvis book. I so look forward to more from this series.

This was a good read. I was surprised it only took me a day to suck this book in. I am happy that I found this author to add to my reading list. This story has a lot of love in it. It covers a sadness of lost and you feel the hurt that everyone is going through. The quotes and sayings are priceless. I laughed so hard I was reading things out loud to anyone that would listen. I look forward to reading more books.
