本書作者卡勒頓.秦納 (Carleton Chinner) 是科幻小說系列「月城三部曲」(Cities of the Moon) 的作者。他出生於澳大利亞，成長於南非。童年時期每星期一次的圖書館之旅便是生活中的高潮了。他嗜讀科幻、奇幻和恐怖小說，此外也喜愛都市傳奇小說和傳統部落歷史，兩者的組合成就了許多精采故事。

卡勒頓經歷過槍擊，目睹過死亡，也曾在潛水時和鯊魚對戰。他目前定居澳大利亞，是《澳大利亞臆想小說評論》(Australian Speculative Fiction Review) 的評選者，以及昆士蘭作家中心 (Queensland Writers Centre) 的秘書。

About the author

Carleton Chinner is the author of the Cities of the Moon series of science fiction novels and a reviewer for the Australian Speculative Fiction Review. He is an Australian born writer who grew up on a remote farm in South Africa, where the trip to the town library was the highlight of his week. He devoured anything science fiction, fantasy and horror. And, when that wasn't enough, turned to urban legend and traditional tribal histories which combined to provide a heady brew of stories.He settled in Australia as an adult but not before turning up unarmed at a gunfight, discovering dead bodies and fighting off sharks while spearfishing. When not writing, he works as a project manager on large corporate programs. Launched in June 2012 in Melbourne, eBook Dynasty is an Australian publisher of digital and print books in English and Chinese languages. We assist emerging and established English-language authors, literary agents and publishers to translate, publish and promote their titles to the Chinese World. We also help Chinese-language writers promote their writings to the English World.
