From New York Times bestselling author Kylie Scott comes the second sizzling stand-alone novel in the Dive Bar series!

When his younger brother loses interest in online dating, hot bearded bartender Joe Collins only intends to log into his account and shut it down. Until he reads about her.

Alex Parks is funny, fascinating, and pretty much everything he's been looking for in a woman—except that she lives across the country. Soon they're emailing up a storm and telling each other their deepest, darkest secrets...except the one that really matters.

When Alex pays Joe a surprise visit, however, they both discover that when it comes to love, it's always better with a twist.

This one started slow for me and I almost gave up on it. Man am I glad I stuck with it! The core of the story is online dating and the little lies that are weaved into conversations on those sites. What happens when you come face to face with the person on the other end and they realize you aren't exactly what you said you were. That's how Joe and Alex's story begins and it just gets better! The writing style of this author is great and her characters are very well developed. If you find it slow starting, just give it time. The story is well worth the wait. This is one I highly recommend.

**Advanced copy provided by the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review** Ever since I found the Stage Dive books by Kylie Scott, I have been sucked into the worlds she creates for us. I enjoyed the first book in the Dive Bar series and I was anxiously awaiting the second one and Twist definitely did not disappoint. All Joe Collins was trying to do was help his brother Eric by setting up a dating profile for him. When Eric lost interest, as Eric tends to do, Joe was going to log on to the account and shut it down, simple as that. But when things seem to be simple they never are. Joe discovered the profile of a woman who definitely caught his attention; one that he wanted to get to know and so he began corresponding with her using his brother's account. Alex Parks has always been a bit socially awkward and for that reason she keeps her number of friends small, one, her bestie Val, and she works from home as a graphic designer. While she isn't really into relationships, she's totally down with becoming email buddies with "Eric" and enjoys the fun, flirty, messages that pass between them. Could this be more for her than just email correspondence? Remember when I said things are never simple? Alex finally gets the nerve up to meet the man she's been talking with for so long. When she finally arrives, she's in for the surprise of her life when she meets everyone at the Dive Bar. Will the piece of information that Joe omitted be the end of any relationship before it can even begin? Or will Alex see that maybe what she thought she wanted wasn't what she wanted at all? I loved the vibe between Joe and Alex. Alex is snarky and funny and Joe is sweet and sexy. Not to mention we get all of our other friends who made appearances in the first book of the series. They are such a fun group, you just want to go and hang out with them! Kudos to Kylie Scott for another fantastic offering in this series. I can't wait to see what she brings us next!

I Recommend This Book Yes Review Last updated on 28 Mar 2017 This is such a fantastic premise - and very fitting for today's world. I do appreciate that Scott didn't take it someplace too dangerous. Instead there is a bit of a misunderstanding about who exactly Alex has been emailing, with the expected hard feelings, but Joe is a good man and things quickly turn around. None of these people are perfect and both Alex & Joe have their hesitations for putting themselves out there. While their face-to-face introduction leaves A LOT to be desired, there are all of those emails that built a good foundation for their friendship. They just have to believe in themselves and each other ... but of course trusting is never easy. Twist is full of humor, heart and heat. It's fun to be with these two as they move from a virtual friendship to a real one, with lots of sparks and playfulness along the way. While they let life get in the way and freak them out for a bit, eventually they figure things out - and it fits them so well :) (This is the first of Scott's books that I've read but it definitely can stand alone. She does such a great job of keeping you in the know wither everything relevant that you can easily jump right in.) *** I voluntarily read a Review Copy of this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no one else’s. ***
