Ratings and reviews

Basic story is hopeless cadet gets help from successful hero type. Pros: dialogue is good. Cons: so much is unexplained and not believable. Plus the hopeless cadet is a classic victim with stuff out of her control most of the time. Of course there are surprise attacks and unlikely wins against hopelessly terrible odds. Sigh. I can't say I much care about any of the characters. Not recommended.

Very well written. The author is very descriptive without it being too much. Very good story. Likeable and fun characters. excellent story so far. I look forward to reading the rest of the series
