About this ebook

Three boys now on the cusp of adulthood, beloved friends in spite of their opposing fortunes; Aron, Marko and Caysa are outcasts made rivals made friends. One a great and destined warrior, the Dragon-knight, another an heir to a warden-ship he does not want and the last, a commoner acolyte of the pacifistic Imran sect. When Caysa learns what he has always feared true, he knows it is only a matter of fate if his neck meets Aron's sword.

With greed, fear and the promise of the truth chasing him, Caysa sets off into the frightening and alluring world beyond the walls of his monastery, Aron and Marko close on his trail.

But there are other forces at play, more sinister than mere wild dragons and crueler than mere knights, least of all the mysterious and cold Black Wraith whose ties to Caysa and Aron run deeper than either could expect.

A standalone LGBTQ+ romantic fantasy, The Last Black Dragon is a wandering, suspenseful tale of grief, love and choice.

4 stars: A slow book that deals with some interesting ideas. The slow start can be kind of a turn off but after that, through the rest of the book the pace picks up and makes for a better reading experience. If you are looking for a slower, low fantasy type story than this is a good place to start but if you are more of a fan of political or high fantasy you will probably be disappointed. However, I really enjoyed the characters and the themes in the book as well as the setting.

love love love this book. super romantic and interesting! i have been looking for a non-standard romantasy book for a while now and stumbled across this and it was exactly what i was looking for. interesting characters, themes and world-building while still being romantic and hiving the main romance shine! -0.5 because the start is a little rough but once i got past the intro i was sucked in. 4.5/5 stars!!
