About this ebook

Who doesn't love noodles? There are oodles of noodles as doodles, noodles in soup, noodles that are dry (or in a stir-fry), even noodles that become hair in a dream about...noodles! From mee hoon kueh to mee sua, author Low Lai Chow’s light, rhythmic prose introduces kids to the myriad of noodles Singapore has to and also pays homage to many local noodle dishes. The quirky illustrations by up-and-coming artist Lee Jia Zhen will surely expand children's imaginations.

About the author

Low Lai Chow has been a journalist and editor for 15 years and now helps create content universes for companies. She served as then-MCYS’ Youth.SG editor from 2007-2011, developing content for government-led youth engagement portal. In 2020 she published her first children’s book, Art For Tinies: Eat with Your Eyes, in collaboration with the National Gallery Singapore. Catch Mee If You Can: Find the Noodles, Eat the Noodles! is inspired by her everyday gastronomic adventures with her daughter.

Lee Jia Zhen is an illustrator and artist based in Singapore and goes by her moniker, Iamugglee. In her words, her works are absurd and ludicrous and they discuss difficult and indigestible themes to get people to ponder and reflect upon them. She has worked with Nickelodeon, EYEYAH!, Our Grandfather Story, AMC Asia and in 2014, at just 17 years old, she was awarded Most Promising Artist of the Year in the emerging artist category (UOB Painting of the Year) for Singapore.
