I'll sum this up very simply. The author gave Eragon too much power and it ruined the series. I've only read the first two books and struggled to get through the third and just lost interest. I'm a huge fantasy fan and Christopher Paulini lost me as a fan once he empowered Eragon with too much power.

Awesome book! Eragon learns to be an even better Dragon Rider, and you meet new enemies....kinda. Anyway if you liked the first you'll love the 2nd! Its a great read!

Eragon learns what it means to be a rider, in this book he fibds his purpose in the world. Meanwhile roran finds himself his own quest that he will complete even if it means the death of him.
