It has 51 heartfelt poems that are like a war cry and call for change. Whether the poems are on child labour, environmental conservation or mental health, all of them feel emotional... urging you to take steps towards a kinder, more compassionate world. But because of its constant focus on social issues, it starts to feel heavy after some time. The messages also begin to feel repetitive. Maybe you shouldn’t read the poems all in one go (like I did). Nevertheless, the book has an overall positive vibe. I mean, in a way, the poems ask for creating a better world together, right? If you want to read something empathetic about real-world issues, you’ll connect with these pieces of literary art.

In Chasing the Dawn, Dr. Abhinav Majumder offers a deeply reflective collection of poems that feel both intimate and universal. These verses do not shout for attention; they speak quietly, like a trusted friend sitting beside you in the dark. Themes of pain, healing, love, loss, and renewal weave through the book, creating an emotional journey that feels honest rather than ornamental. What makes this collection stand out is its sincerity.

This collection surprised me with how direct and compassionate it is. Many poems focus on real social struggles, but they never feel distant or academic. The Silent Cries and Shadows Of Addiction stayed with me the longest. The language is simple in a good way, very readable, though at times the tone becomes a bit repetitive. Still, the sincerity carries the book. It feels like the author genuinely wants readers to care more about the world around them.
