About this ebook

“If you like wonderfully romantic stories with men with accents and faraway travels, then you'll love Cathryn Parry's contemporary Scottish adventure.” —A Goodreads Reader

A contemporary romance of adventure and passion set in Scotland

The first book in the award-winning Sage Family of Scotland trilogy:

Kristin Hart, a young industrial engineer for a shampoo-and-body-products company, shows up in her Vermont factory one dreary day to find an intriguing, mysterious Scotsman sitting at her desk.

Malcolm MacDowall, the nephew of a billionaire Scottish industrialist, is on a secret mission to buy out Kristin’s company. Charmed by Kristin but filled with regret, he remains loyal to his family and does what he must. After the announcement is made that her factory is being closed, Kristin does what she must. This small-town girl who hadn’t even owned a passport packs her suitcase for Edinburgh, Scotland.

To Malcolm’s shock, they’re swept up in a passionate adventure. During her quest to convince him to keep the factory open, she traverses the countryside, stays at a Highland castle, attends a Scottish wedding and falls in love with Malcolm, the Highlander of her heart.

But is love enough to overcome family duty?

I fell in love with the hero, a modern-day Scots warrior. I could identify with the heroine… The time reading this novel was the sweetest hours.”  Goodreads reader review

A well written story with a very good storyline, that held my interest throughout. Kristin Hart and Malcolm MacDowall's story of her trip to Edinburgh, Scotland when the plant in Vermont she works in is set to be closed with all jobs lost. I enjoyed seeing this story come together, it was well worth reading. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
