Joran, Crown Prince of Pyros, needs to claim his mate in order to ascend to the throne one day. The problem? His destined mate isn’t on Pyros.

When a galaxy-wide search uncovers a backwater world full of potential mates for Joran and the other unmated males on his planet, plans are set in motion and Star-Crossed Dating is created. Now, the first wave of men are on their way to claim their unsuspecting brides. Joran’s mission: Go to Earth, claim his mate and bring her back to Pyros.  How hard could it be?

I admit I went totally out of order and read book 4 before I read Joran (book 1). Though you can do that, I don't suggest it. This book setup for the whole series. If you're in the market for a low angst, sweet romance that's literally out of this world, this is a good choice for you. Joran was sweet but arrogant with just enough wild to make him adorable. Maggie was rather buttoned up, but that just made it more wonderful when she broke down and opened up. Lots of steam, some sweet romance, a short-lived abduction, and an alien race make up this cute sci-fi romance.

This is a free book for a reason. It's brain candy, but I don't know if it's worth spending money on. The characters are one note and it reads like a bad B sci fi romance.

the characters are iteresting and realistic. the story is out there in a good way and it drags you in i think if you like aliens romance and that little extra something that you can only get from a short tale this is a good book to get it from.

About the author

Susan lives out on the Canadian west coast surrounded by open water, dear family, and good friends. She’s jumped out of perfectly good airplanes on purpose and accidentally swum with sharks on the Great Barrier Reef.

If the world ends, she plans to survive as the spunky, comedic sidekick to the heroes of the new world, because she’s too damned short and out of shape to make it on her own for long.
