About this ebook

Paul, a religious teen living in a small conservative town, finds his world turned upside down when he meets Manuel—a young man who says he’s both Christian and gay, two things that Paul didn’t think could coexist in one person. Doesn’t the Bible forbid homosexuality? As Paul struggles with Manuel’s interpretation of the Bible, thoughts that Paul has long tried to bury begin to surface, and he finds himself re-examining his whole life. This is an unforgettable book on an extremely timely topic that strives to open minds on both ends of the spectrum.

Easily my favorite LGBT book. The narrator stuggles to find a balance between his belief, his relationships to his friends and the mysterious Manuel, and his sexuality, but what's great about this book, is that the reader actually feels that struggle. The narration is perfect, and the real-life implications of this book are fantastically satisfying.

An absolutely fantastic book blending religion and homosexuality. When small town Paul meets Manuel, the first openly gay teen in his town, his interpretation of Christianity and religion is challenged. Manuel teaches his new friends it is possible to be gay and religious at the same time, and that God respects him regardless of his sexual orientation.

This book pretty much sums up life as a gay christian teen- closeted or open. If everyone could read and understand this book things would be so much more simple. Couldn't be better.
