Samantha Chase delivers another amazing story. This is the fourth story in the Shaughnessy series. This is my favorite story thus far in the Shaughnessy series. Samantha writes this story with great style. She writes with passion and emotion. You can feel what the characters are going through. I was left wanting more to read. Riley Shaughnessy is a rock star. Power, fame and money do not go to Riley's head. Riley is possessive, sensitive, charismatic, and charming. You see his vulnerable side as well as his loyal side. You also see that family is the world to Riley. Savannah Daly is a cosmetologist turned reporter. In the beginning Savannah assumes the worst in Riley. She believes he is the typical spoiled rock star. Later she realizes there is so much more to Riley Shaughnessy. As The more time she spends with Riley and his family the more she is drawn to him. When Savannah and Riley get together you see both of them begin to change the way they think about each other. You see them fall in love. You see the depths they go to help each other over their fears and insecurities. This book is an amazing read. I laughed and cried. I found myself loving the Shaughnessy family even more. I highly recommend you get this book.

Overpowering, possessive and sensitive. What else would be expected from a Shaughnessy. They are over achievers who live life to the fullest and love as hard as they work. Riley has all of these traits with an extra dose of charisma and insecurity that he keeps close to the vest, but when Savannah walks into his world and takes up residence in his heart, his sensors hit overdrive really fast. There are a number of reasons why I go fanatic over Ms. Chase's stories, mainly her family inspired tales. She does something I have not seen many authors do. Exposes the drama slowly from the inside out. In my experience that gives an easier understanding of who the character is. Riley is a rockstar but all the fame in the world does not make up for the heartbreaking loss he still struggles with. The measure of a man is not the secrets he keeps but the vulnerabilities he exposes. That is what makes connecting with Riley relatable to me as a reader.

This Is Our Song by Samantha Chase is book number four in the Shaughnessy Brothers series. This is rock star Riley Shaughnessy and reporter Savannah Daly's story. Riley is in a slump with his music. He is forced to do an interview with reporter Savannah Daly. Savannah is not happy about this assignment. She is not impressed by him or his reputation. After spending a month with Riley and his family will Savannah see a different Riley than what the press reports? Samantha Chase has a way of getting your attention and keeping it throughout the story. I loved Riley and Savannah's story. This is a great book to curl up with and escape from everyday struggles. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
