About this ebook

I left home because I didn't want to end up in a cage like a lab rat. Hitching rides, begging for cash, and sleeping on the ground got old fast. That was the only reason I braved an overgrown path to a group of buildings. I'd hoped to find a bed and a decent night's sleep. However, what I found was a place overrun by werewolves.

While on the run, Charlene finds herself surrounded by werewolves, creatures she can't control with her mind like she can humans. Their existence has her believing she's found a safe place to stay, a place where secrets are okay. However, she soon discovers she's anything but safe. Charlene must learn how to use her abilities to influence the strange new species because if she can't, the next bite she suffers might just kill her.

Read how the cycle begins, and have no doubt. Charlene's past will shape the future of the Judgements.

I loved this book except for a few flaws that irked me, this was based 30 years ago but they had camera phones? not likely.

I really enjoyed this fourth book in the series! The book takes you back to how Thomas and Charlene met and how the Compound grew and developed. How Gregory and Mary met is also revealed. After reading the first three books in this series, I had some preconceived notions and assumptions about the werewolves and their history. This book took all of those thoughts and turned them upside down. Exciting book!! Eagerly looking forward to the next books!

This is one of my favorite, The Judgement of the Six series, books. I love Charlene and Thomas’ story. In the other books we have seen them older and as parents to Emmitt (book two) and Jim. Their pack has been well established. (Un)Bidden gives us the story of how Charlene meets her mate Thomas and how the compound got started. What I enjoyed about Charlene and Thomas’s romance the most is the building of trust and their love for each other. It was a joy to watch them grow together and to learn from each other. Charlene was so impressive to watch as she, with help, remodeled the compound from shackles to livable space. I also loved getting to know Mary, Gregory, and Grey so much better. Charlene is amazing person, smart, mature, and holds so much pressure on her shoulders. Thomas is full of attitude, assurance, and a much softer side reserved for Charlene. Melissa Haag does a wonderful job brining these character’s stories to life and ties the present day of the JOTS story in the book really well. Don’t miss this heartwarming background story of Charlene and Thomas.
