Dimock completely blows up Anglo-Catholic historical revisionism regarding the doctrine of transubstantiation in the Church of England of the mid-19th century, showing that the classic Anglican view of the Eucharistic presence was that of dynamic virtualism. An excellent treatment by "An English Presbyter", the rector of Wymynswold in Kent. Dimock cites the Patristic sources and vindicates the early English Church as Protestant and Reformed, yet thoroughly Catholic in orientation. Superb for purposes of the history of eucharistic theology in England, highly recommended!
