Born in Porto Alegre, Brazil, Fernando Nonohay earned a degree in Media Studies from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS). He later moved to the United Kingdom, where he has been living for over 30 years.
Fernando is a Portuguese–English translator and interpreter, and he also teaches Brazilian Portuguese as a second language. He firmly believes that language learning should be a fun and effortless process — and this belief is what inspired him to write the stories in this book.
