Unsatisfying combination of romance and suspence with lightweight touches of steampunk dabbling in electromagnetism included. The author seemed undecided whether the social issues and steam punk aspects (interesting) or the (unecessary) steamy sex between the two leading characters were the main focus. Abigail's character and her frustrations with the restrictions placed on women were well expressed.

The characters were engrossing and kept you reading. Trying to figure out what next would happen. You have to buy the next book before you find out who or what is behind the mystery.

This book was well-written and easy to read. It felt like you got to know the characters and care about them. I recommend this book to anyone who has a little time and wants to read a thoroughly delightful novel
