Two World War II soldiers are hunted and trapped in a burned-out hole in the ground. Eighty years later, Elizabeth, a home health nurse, finds a body hidden in her patient's house. About the author

Dr. Valerie Campbell is a licensed mental health counselor and founder of Therapy International, Inc.

She has worked for state-funded mental health centers and been in private practice for over 20 years. She has also worked as a certified teacher in ESE, Psychology 6-12, as a Behavior Specialist and Dean. She was a psychology professor for over 13 years.

Dr. Campbell has worked with children in the juvenile justice system, as a Guardian Ad Litem, with the battered women's shelter, and with the victim-witness program.

She also volunteered in many crisis situations; with the Red Cross counseling survivors and families of 9/11, and the Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando - the second worse shooting in U.S. history.

After Dr. Campbell became certified in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, she began research on therapy dogs, psychiatric service dogs, and assistance dogs. She is now an evaluator for the AKC Canine Good Citizen award and Delta Society therapy dog certification.

She now uses her experience to write stories in Maine with a little counseling on the side. She owes it all to her three wonderful children, who taught her tech, and are her greatest motivation, inspiration, and support.
