About the author
Carysa Locke is a pseudonym. Carysa loves to write, and she and her best friend, MaLea Holt, have been creating imaginary worlds together for more than twenty years. Some of the books Carysa writes start out in the worlds MaLea creates for the tabletop role-play games they play. Carysa has a degree in English, and another in teaching, but she’d rather spend time writing wonderful stories and sharing them with readers.

Libby Doyle escapes real life by writing extravagant tales, filled with intrigue, sex, and violence. When not tapping away at her fiction, she’s been known to work as a book editor, attorney, and journalist. She loves absurd humor, travel, hiking, and music.
Writing fiction is Libby’s latest adventure in a life that has been filled with them. She knows she’s lucky. She’s stood atop a hill in Connemara in a cold wind, watching sunlight sparkle off the pristine sea below. She’s been followed by a howler monkey in a Mexican jungle and been bruised by a martial-arts test in Japan. She’s trekked for days among the Himalayas, mountains so high and timeless they made her feel completely insignificant, a wonderful feeling. And the best luck of all? She’s married to a man who is funny and kind and patient enough to welcome her characters into their lives.
New York Times Bestselling Author Erin Hayes writes what she wants to read, which includes paranormal romance, contemporary romance, and urban fantasy sprinkled with vampires, billionaire princes, mermaids, steampunk and all the stuff you love.
She lives in San Francisco with her husband and a giant cat, along with too many Sailor Moon figurines and pieces of art she brought back from her travels. When she’s not writing, well, she’s planning her next big trip or watching sci-fi movies.
And if you like Star Wars, we’re already best friends.

Growing up, I was the kid with my nose always in a book. As soon as I got some allowance money, I’d ride my horse several miles to a little shop that had a soft drink machine and sold used books—mainly science fiction. I’d get a cola and spend the rest on reading material. I couldn’t wait to escape into those fantasy worlds. Good thing my horse knew the way home. That was my introduction to Andre Norton and Robert Heinlein. Not much has changed since then—except for the horse. I take a beat-up Toyota to the bookstore now.
