About this ebook

New Orleans knows how to hold its secrets.

Three centuries of wards have kept the city's supernatural threats sealed beneath jazz funerals and Spanish moss. But someone is breaking the locks—one ritualistic murder at a time.

Detective Jake Morrison feels it before he sees it—the wrongness bleeding through the French Quarter like a frequency only he can hear. Ten years of sensing supernatural crimes have taught him to work in silence and never let anyone close enough to ask how.

Seraphina Ciel has been keeping her own silence. A Fallen angel who once judged souls, she protects New Orleans alone, watching the wards crack and wondering if choosing to understand mercy over certainty was worth what it cost her.

When they meet, the impact is seismic. When they touch, it's catastrophic—a shockwave that makes Jake visible to every supernatural predator in the city.
An ancient necromancer is opening dimensional rifts beneath the French Quarter, and the bond forming between them is turning her human and him divine.

Mardi Gras is coming. So is the end of everything.

Seraphina and Jake’s story takes place in Bew Orleans and has all of the elements I love about that town. It’s got history, multiple religious traditions and real supernatural elements. It’s book 3 in the Fallen Response Unit ( FRU ), series, but it reads as a standalone with cameo appearances from the other angels. The characters are well written and fully fleshed out, the storyline is amazing and happens over several centuries, but culminates at Mardi Gras. 5✨’s and I can’t wait to read book 4
